A delegation from Qased Strategic Research Center-Kabul attended the Mini-Islamic Summit (Kuala Lumpur 2019) which was held to discuss the Islamic World issues.
The Islamic Summit was held this year in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur from 19th to 21st December 2019 and was attended by more than 450 leaders and intellectuals of various Muslim countries.
Dr. Abdul Baqi Amin, the director of the Kabul-based Qased Strategic Research Center participated in the summit from Afghanistan and met academics from the Islamic world on the margins of the forum.
The leaders and scholars of the Muslim countries, including Malaysia’s Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, delivered speeches at the meeting and discussed the current major issues in the Islamic world and the need for cooperations between Muslim countries for solution to the problems being faced by these countries.
Worth mentioning that the Kuala Lumpur Summit, as an international platform for Muslim leaders, was established by the Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in 2014 and was held annually with participation of representatives of various Muslim countries in order to highlight the problems and major issues in the Islamic world and find solutions to them.
