QASED Non-government Research Organization
QASED is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental research organization based in Afghanistan. The center has been established by a number of Afghan scholars and professional researchers.
Mission
QASED aims to conduct precise, impartial and specialized policy-oriented research, through which contribute to policy reforms in Afghanistan, the region and the world, especially those relating to Afghanistan.
Vision
QASED is devoted to:
- Reflect facts in different areas collected through accurate researches to enhance and consolidate policies and actions for improvement and reforms.
- Illustrate the mutual impact of the region and the world with Afghanistan to enhance stability in Afghanistan and the region.
Means and Activities
QASED achieves its objectives through a wide range of activities including:
- Round Tables: QASED facilitate and conduct analysis and research debates and discussions of specialists and authorities for comprehensive and effective research of important issues in Afghanistan and the region, the finding of which publishes through its research publications, media and other ways for utilization in policy-making.
- Policies Review: QASED conduct researches to unfold deficiencies, opportunities and barriers in important sectors through research of policies in these sectors and provide precise and research-based recommendations and solutions for improvement.
- Research-Based Reports: QASED also publishes timely research reports on important and fateful issues to help reforming and improving policies in different fields.
- War Casualties’ Reports: QASED publishes special reports of major security incidents and civilian casualties to reflect the adverse and heavy effects of the ongoing war in Afghanistan, as well as the war casualties’ weekly, monthly and annual reports in the country.
- Surveys: QASED collects data to explore citizen’s opinions about the government policies and important issues through interviews and surveys, the conclusions drawn are published through its publications and inputs researches.
Research Focus Areas
Currently, the ongoing war and lack of good governance in the country are the fundamental problems which have affected all other areas. Based on the recognition of its mission, QASED focuses on these two fields through its research activities.
QASED’s Nature of Research
QASED is not influenced by any sides in the proposition of the real image of the existing facts and conduct completely impartial and fact-based research. Thus, QASED tries to draw attention of the policy-makers and responsible parties to their mission and responsibility for improvement of the policies and politics.
