Afghanistan is the Home of all Afghans
Afghanistan is the common home of all the tribes that reside in the country’s certain geography. It is an obligation of the common homeland that everyone should seek to build it, see themselves as members of this vast family and shall not try to build separate houses inside the one house that may harm the benefits of this big house. In order for Afghanistan to be unquestionably in the sense and comprehension as a home, the understanding of national identity must be built up. The pain and hopes shall be common for all Afghans. Poverty and penury, slaughter and insecurity in northern Afghanistan should not be acceptable for southern populations. The same understanding between East, West and Central regions of the country is needed. In this manner, Afghans must be seen as a nation, and efforts should be made to develop cultural and social commonality of all the citizens of this land. Cultural and social distinctions reduce, in order to strengthen national unity in the country.
Afghanistan has many ethnicities and races and its people speak diverse languages. However, this multiplicity of origins and languages must not be an obstacle to domestic unity and collective consideration to the development and construction of the country. Fortunately, the people of Afghanistan (except for the fewer minorities of Henods) are all Muslims. They have the basis of unitary belief and ideology. Afghans should use this positive factor in gaining national unity. Afflictions and political positions on the base of racial and linguistic harm the national unity. It provides the ground for those who seek to monopolize the leadership basis on race or tribe. Many politicians in the country raise issues of race and tribe to protect their political position and privileges. The close history of our country is witnessing the same unpleasant truth. Many in this country have gained concessions in the field of politics through raising racial and linguistic theorems. The division of power in the country basing on the race and tribe does not strengthen national unity, but it increases the spill. The attention of the high level government officials to protect interests of their tribal and racial followers decreases the public trust on the governmental authorities as a whole, and on the other hand, provides a monopoly of power in the hands of individuals using the name of race and tribe.
In this type of tribal division, the principle of adequacy and merit is suffering and many obstacles to the realization of social justice are encountered. Lack of the principle of adequacy and merit slows the process of achievements and indeed leads to stagnation. In this regard, what best has been said by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): “When the practice of honouring a trust is lost, expect the Last Day.” One of the Companions asked: “How could it be lost?” He replied, “When the government is entrusted to the undeserving people, then wait for the Last Day.” This Noble Hadith expresses the professional foundation of the nation’s movement. Because, when the work is handed over to the people with merit, the trust will not be lost, the facilities will be handled perfectly and it will lead to a rise of the society’s accomplishments. But if the work is not allowed to its qualified people, the society will suffer of the stagnation of achievements and it will disrupt the balance between civilizations. The state will be unavailable in the construction of civilization and turns into a follower nation. Not only stagnate the achievements, but social justice will also suffer and everyone in society will not be able to use the community’s facilities in a balanced way. This type of division, reinforces the mafia system and certain individuals who have achieved privileges through race and tribe avocations (most of which are illegitimate) cannot be brought to legally calculation and appear as over-legal entities that threaten the government and the rule of law in the country. There are many examples of this case in our country that have repeatedly violated the law. Government officials have been forced to give concessions. If the concession is not given to them, they would throw the country into crisis. These entities have taken hostage the country’s destiny in many cases and have been a major contributor to the devastation of the country.
Afghans must learn from the constructive experiences of the Islamic countries. In this regard, the Malaysian experience is worth mentioning that it stands today in the ranks of the progressive countries of the world. The plurality of race (Malayan, Chines, and Indian) did not break them from being as a unity nation. Everyone tried to build the country. Thy in addition to the plurality of nationalities and race, live in a multiplicity of religions. They never met racial and religious conflicts among them, but accepted each other and tried simultaneously to achieve the common goals, which are the uplifting and progress of the country.
